What are the Special Materials and applications of Cable Ties？

Besides the regular nylon cable ties, Fscat cable ties includes some special materials as below:

PA12, UV resistance, Metal detectable, ETFE, V0, PP, Nylon 46 etc.

1.PA12,(polylaurylamide,polymerized from butadiene).

Melting point: 178℃-180℃

Density: 1.02g/m³

Water absorption: 1.4%

Temperature resistance: 160℃ (optimum temperature 100℃)

Application scenarios: Mainly used in the photovoltaic industry, solar panels, communication cables, and can be used continuously for 15-20 years under strong light.

2.V0 ,Flame retardant nylon cable ties:

This type of nylon cable ties undergo special treatment to provide flame retardant. They can offer higher safety in case of fire or high-temperature environments, reducing the risk of fire spreading.

3.UV-resistant nylon cable ties:

Material: PA66+UV additive

Flame retardant grade: 94V2

Water absorption: 2,7%-2,8% (23°C -50% R.H.)

Application scenarios:

1. Photovoltaic industry (solar panels)

2. Places exposed to strong light outdoors for a long time(common for around 3-5 years).

4.Metal Detectable cable ties: 

Material: PA66+ metal powder

Raw materials: Italian Lantici

L1: The magnetic force is weak and hinders the original performance of nylon.

Application industries: food production, packaging, pharmaceutical factories, assembly lines, medical equipment.

5.Material: ETFE (Japan AGC)Polymerized from tetrafluoroethylene

Flame retardant grade: 94V-0

Melting point: 325℃

Density: 2.25g/m³

Operating temperature: -50℃ -200℃

Characteristics: strong acid, strong alkali, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, weather resistance.

Application scenario: Automotive industry (engine)

6.PP (polypropylene)

Flame retardant grade: UL 94HB

Water absorption: 0%

Operating temperature: -20°C- + 75°C (0°F- + 167°F).

Material characteristics: Because of its good plasticity, no water absorption, strong breaking tensile strength, resistance to bending fatigue, low density, and good tensile impact properties.
