UV resistant cable ties are an important solution for a variety of applications that require long-term durability and protection from sunlight and UV radiation.

Let’s explore the many applications of UV-resistant cable ties and learn why they are integral to ensuring the longevity and effectiveness of your cable systems.

What types of UV resistant ties are there?

Fscat offers two different types of UV resistant cable ties:

1. Slightly anti-UV function

One is plain black with slight UV resistance.

2. Special materials are UV resistant

Special material anti-UV (100% PA66+UV additive) tie, can be used outdoors for 3-5 years.

Main feature:

(1)Material: 100% PA66+UV additive

(2) Flammability: 94V-2

(3) Water absorption: 2.7%-2.8% (23°C -50% R.H.)

What are the common applications of UV resistant ties?

1.Outdoor installation

UV resistant cable ties are ideal for securing cables, wires and other components in outdoor environments such as solar panel installations, rooftop wiring, outdoor lighting systems and telecommunications infrastructure.

2. Agriculture and horticulture

UV resistant ties are commonly used in agricultural settings such as vineyards and orchards to protect irrigation systems, trellises and plant supports, greenhouse installations and garden maintenance.

3. Electrical and HVAC systems

In areas where cables or wires are exposed to direct sunlight or UV radiation, such as electrical installations on rooftops or HVAC systems, UV-resistant ties provide long-term durability and reliability.

4. Ocean and Boating

Due to constant exposure to sunlight and salt water, UV-resistant cable ties are critical in marine and boating applications, including securing cables, wires, hoses and equipment on boats, yachts and marinas.

5. Buildings and Infrastructure

UV-resistant cable ties are frequently used on construction projects including outdoor signage, highway and street lighting fixtures, and wiring securing in outdoor utility boxes and control panels.

Overall

UV-resistant ties are critical for any application where long-term exposure to sunlight or UV radiation can cause damage or degradation to traditional ties, ensuring the safety and longevity of your cable management system.
